Nourish: Mindfulness & Creativity Retreat
Come nourish your body, mind and creative spirit at this one day retreat led by artists and mindfulness teachers Jen Hutchins and Jenny Hahn. Take time to ground, reconnect, and express from your own aliveness using the tools of presence and visual art-making. Tap your inner stillness and savor your sensual experiences both in nature and in the studio. The beautiful grounds of Unity Village – including the brand new labyrinth, rose gardens, and fountains – will serve as the backdrop to your inward journey of connection and soul expression.

This daylong retreat will include time outdoors with a walking meditation (weather permitting), guided sitting meditations, a delicious catered meal, studio creation time, and sharing circles. All art materials will be provided, in a variety of mediums. Feel free to bring a water bottle and a journal for writing.
No prior art or meditation experience necessary. You will be supported in an environment free from judgment or comparison. We welcome adults of all ages, races, genders, sexual orientations and abilities.
The Unity Arts Ministry is located on the 4th floor of the Administration Building on the grounds of Unity Village. Elevator access available. TICKETS: $150 for the full day retreat. Your investment in yourself includes guided meditations; creative facilitation; studio experiences; all art supplies; catered lunch; and priceless nurturing support within a safe community. Retreat limited to 18 participants.
MEET YOUR FACILITATORS
Jeniffer Hutchins combines her personal artistic experience and formal education to provide art experiences that nourish the soul. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art education, a master’s in divinity, and certification as a Reiki Master Teacher. She is founder of the non-profit organization Unity Arts Ministry through which she presents creativity workshops and gives inspirational talks around the country, spreading paint -and joy- everywhere she goes.
Inspired by her love of nature and travels cross-country and abroad, Jeniffer captures in art the beauty she sees in the world. She works with a variety of media including paint, collage, photography and art journaling. Her artwork has been featured in group & solo exhibitions and represented by galleries across the United States.
Visual artist and workshop facilitator Jenny Hahn captures the inward journey through bold expression and a vibrant palette. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art, and her acrylic paintings and giclée prints are collected around the world as well as licensed for inspirational products including book covers, calendars, posters, and most recently the Wisdom of the Shadow and Wisdom of the Divine Feminine oracle card decks.
As a certified mindfulness teacher and co-founder of Creative Nectar Studio, Jenny leads workshops across the country and also online to help people recover their innate wholeness and creativity using painting as a tool for mindfulness and self-discovery. She is co-host of the twice monthly podcast Creative Nectar: Talks & Tools for Juicy Living. Jenny serves on the leadership team of the Unity Arts Ministry and is a guest teacher/speaker at the Temple Buddhist Center in Kansas City, MO. Her ongoing practice of Vipassana (insight meditation) informs her creative process and teachings.
