It’s time to get your journals out! The new weekly Visual Journal workshop, Art & Soul, launches this week. I am excited to be sharing this creative outlet once again in my local community. In addition to teaching in person, I will be sharing images from my own journals here on the Unity Arts Ministry articles page. Follow along with my Monday shares for tips and techniques.
My hope is that wherever you are, you will be inspired to try keeping a Visual Journal as a process of deeper connection to Creative Spirit.

ART & SOUL: CONNECTING THROUGH VISUAL JOURNALS
Come join Rev. Jen for an evening of meditation and creative expression. Visual Journals are a fun and safe way to explore emotions, process life, tune in to inner guidance, and deepen your awareness of the Divine. Using a variety of mixed media art materials you will be given free reign to express yourself onto the page. Crayons, collage, markers or paint, anything goes.
Keeping a Visual Journal is a therapeutic process that can be engaged by anyone regardless of past artistic experience.
Program meets weekly at Unity Village, Wednesdays 6:30-8:00PM. Each week, Rev. Jen will lead you in a 10 minute meditation for relaxation and reflection followed by an open studio art journal experience. Brief material demonstrations, varied art supplies, gentle guidance and support provided. Please bring your own art journal or sketchbook.

*NOTE: Access to the 6th floor requires use of stairs. Most external doors will be locked at the time of our program. Enter through the “Security” door in the back corner of the lot near the bookstore. The door is slightly hidden behind tall bushes on either side. Turn left through the ground level to the elevators (on your left). Take the elevator to the 5th Floor. Take the stairs to the 6th floor through the door on your left when you exit the elevator. Map to 6th Floor Mtg. Rm.

About the Program Facilitator
Reverend Jeniffer Hutchins is the founding minister of Unity Arts Ministry. As an artist and ordained Unity minister, her mission is to inspire self-reflection and personal transformation through spiritual principles and the healing power of art. Rev. Jeniffer presents creative workshops; gives inspirational talks at churches and retreats around the country; and is the host of the upcoming television series “The Art of You” on The New Though Channel.
She is a featured artist and interviewee in the book Crafting Gratitude: Creating and Celebrating Our Blessings with Hands and Heart by Maggie Oman Shannon and is a staff writer for a daily devotional magazine.
Jeniffer’s artwork has been represented by galleries in the South East and showcased in solo and juried exhibitions nationally. She has been featured in City View Magazine and on multiple Unity.fm programs including “Call of Spirit,” “The Creative Spirit,” and “Let’s Talk About It.”
