Join Rev. Jen Hutchins monthly in the Arts Ministry studio for a time of self-reflection and creative expression. Each month we will explore a new topic designed to help you live into your spiritual power. All projects are process based allowing you to focus on the present moment, express your emotions and experiment with materials. No prior artistic experience is required.

We offer a judgement free, safe and supportive environment. Open to teens and adults age 16+. Pre-registration required.

Artist, spiritual leader, and creativity mentor Rev. Jen Hutchins has 25 years of experience creating art and artistic experiences that nourish the soul. She is the founder of Unity Arts Ministry, through which she offers creativity workshops, retreats, and inspirational talks across the United States and abroad, spreading paint -and joy- everywhere she goes.

Her award-winning artwork has been featured in group & solo exhibitions and represented by galleries across the United States. Rev. 2025 ART & SOUL SCHEDULE

• January – ENVISION your best life at our annual Vision Board Party.
• February – OPEN your heart with this Chakra Paint session. Chakra Paint program combines music, meditation and mixed media exploration.
• March – LISTEN to the wisdom of your soul through mixed media art journaling practices. Bring an art journal or work on loose paper.
• *NO WORKSHOP IN APRIL – Rev. Jen Hutchins will be speaking at the Women Rising Retreat at Unity Village. Tickets are open to the public. 
• May – RISE into your power as we explore the energy of the sacral chakra. Chakra Paint program combines music, meditation and mixed media exploration.
• June – IMAGINE what is possible as you meditate and create an intuitive collage. Bring an art journal or work on loose paper.
• July – GROW in spiritual understanding and design a personalized altar box to use in your spiritual practice.
• August – ALIGN with your personal will during this solar plexus activation. Chakra Paint program combines music, meditation and mixed media exploration.
• September – BELIEVE in the power of prayer. Explore Unity’s 5 step prayer practice through process based watercolor painting.
• October – GLOW with zeal as you engage in a full spectrum Chakra Paint workshop. Chakra Paint program combines music, meditation and mixed media exploration.
• November – RELEASE what no longer serves you through a simple but powerful collage process. Bring your art journal or work on loose paper.
• December – REKINDLE – Special Event with guest Ahlara Kent. Self care practices including meditation, chair yoga and mandala art.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Supplies: All supplies provided for each program. Our studio is stocked with a variety of paper, paints, colored pencils, markers, oil pastels, crayons, and collage fodder.

Dress: We suggest wearing something comfortable that you don’t mind getting messy in. Aprons will also be available.

Directions & Parking: Unity Arts Ministry Studio is located on the 4th floor of the 100 building at the Unity Village campus. The address is 1901 NW Blue Pkwy 100 Building, 4th Floor, Unity Village, MO 64065. There is a parking lot on the SW side of the building. We’ve included a map here for easy reference. Enter the corner door from the parking lot. If locked, please ring the buzzer and let the dispatcher know you are here for the Unity Arts Ministry event. You may either take the stairs or go around the corner to the elevator to get to the 4th floor. If you have any challenges with getting in or have specific accessibility needs, please call 816-805-2097.
