2020 Year in Review

2020 has been a year filled with unexpected twists and turns. Through it all the Unity Arts Community has turned to the arts as a healing balm for the soul and a connector of community.
To our participants, donors, volunteers, teachers, Board of Directors, & Senior Minister, THANK YOU for helping us make creative healing available to all!
We kicked off the new year with a Vision Board party filled with possibilities. Local artists were celebrated at the Valentine’s Art Market. Guests from the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council joined us in the studio for an interactive Art Playshop. Open Studio and Creative Spirit Gathering moved from in studio to online in March, marking the beginning of new opportunities for connecting with our world-wide community. Online, we hosted fun events like our Bob Ross Paint Party & Artist Trading Card exchange and we created programs designed to deepen spiritual awareness such as The Art of Prayer. As the weather warmed we gathered for Plein Air painting and watched our Kindness Rock Garden grow. Through it all, we have created space for self-expression and community connections. We could not have done it without you.
As we share our gratitude for what has been, we open our hearts to what is to come as we move into the new year.
