Mixed Media Monthly
Unity Arts Ministry is offering a monthly workshop where you will learn new crafting skills and meet like-minded friends for connection and fun. The workshops are facilitated by Barbara Hadley and will include both a new skill and a “make and take” project. Your new skills can be used to create art journals, Artist Trading Cards, making greeting cards and other forms of mixed media. And every month will be a new inspiration!
The Mixed Media Monthly will meet on the second Saturday of the month from 1 to 3pm at the Unity Arts Ministry Studio on the Unity Village grounds in Lee Summit.
No art experience is necessary—you will receive as much or as little coaching as works for you. And all the materials are included so simply show up (and bring a couple of friends) and have fun. See below for details on special monthly activity.
JANUARY 2025
In January, Barbara will teach you how to make gelli prints and then how to use stencils and texture tools to make really cool designs. Everyone will get to use a gelli plate to try out the process and you will be AMAZED! There is always an element of surprise with gelli-printing that is delightful. You will be immediately able to take what you learn and begin printing incredibly detailed and colorful artwork at home.

Directions & Parking: Unity Arts Ministry Studio is located on the 4th floor of the 100 building at the Unity Village campus. The address is 1901 NW Blue Pkwy 100 Building, 4th Floor, Unity Village, MO 64065. There is a parking lot on the SW side of the building. We’ve included a map here for easy reference. When you enter the corner door from the parking lot, if the inner door is locked, please ring the buzzer and let the dispatcher know you are here for the Unity Arts Ministry event. You may either take the stairs or go around the corner to the elevator to get to the 4th floor. If you have any challenges with getting in or have specific accessibility needs, please call security at 816-347-5535.
