The winter holidays are often busy times filled with external obligations, long to-do lists and emotional overwhelm. It can leave you feeling lost in the mix of it all. Self-care practices help you maintain a healthy balance and promote your overall well-being. Creative activity, yoga and meditation are nourishing practices that can help you manage stress and improve your mood. Our goal is to provide you with an experience of inner peace and take home tools for ongoing nourishment.

Meet Your Self-Care Guides
Rev. Jeniffer Hutchins is the founder, CEO and acting senior minister of Unity Arts Ministry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s in divinity. Through Unity Arts Ministry she presents creativity workshops, gives inspirational talks around the country and provides spiritual support to individuals. She has been featured in magazine, radio and podcast interviews.
As an artist she is inspired by her love of nature and travels cross-country and abroad. She works with a variety of media including paint, collage, photography and art journaling. Her artwork has been featured in group & solo exhibitions and represented by galleries across the United States. Contact: jhutchins@unityartsministry.org
Ahlara lives with her family (husband, son, and their dog Bosco) outside the Kansas City area and is a Yoga, Mindfulness, and Spiritual teacher. She has been a practicing Yogi for over 20 years and has taught Yoga since 2011. She is a Certified Yoga Teacher with 440 hours of training in Hatha, Iyengar, Restorative, and Kundalini Yoga. Ahlara is also a retreat facilitator and guide. She has been trained in energy healing modalities, such as Energy Medicine, Theta Healing, Reiki, Channeling, Mentoring, Mindfulness, Oil Anointing, and Metatron Cube Attunements. Directions & Parking: Unity Arts Ministry Studio is located on the 4th floor of the 100 building at the Unity Village campus. The address is 1901 NW Blue Pkwy 100 Building, 4th Floor, Unity Village, MO 64065. There is a parking lot on the SW side of the building. We’ve included a map here for easy reference. When you enter the corner door from the parking lot, please ring the buzzer and let the dispatcher know you are here for the Unity Arts Ministry event. You may either take the stairs or go around the corner to the elevator to get to the 4th floor. If you have any challenges with getting in or have specific accessibility needs, please call 858-926-9473.
Road Closure Notice: Please note that NW Blue Parkway is closed by Unity Village due to construction. Use the Colbern Rd entrance to the Unity Village campus. The only access is from Rt 470 / 350 or Bannister Road.
